Back in July of 2008 I started a wonderful blog called Frugal Mommy of 2 Girls. I loved to do reviews and have made many blogging friends along the way. Not to mention it was great getting all the freebies in the mail and getting paid to blog. It was a dream job for a stay-at-home / homeschooling mom. But in May of 2013 I made a decision to sell it. I felt it was the only option to help pay for my youngest daughters medical bills.
In February of 2013 my daughter developed epilepsy. She is 7 years old and it was completely out of the blue. They don't have a cause or a reason she developed it. (which I have had a hard time wrapping my head around that). She was having up to 30-40 seizures a day. Now she is on a regiment of medication 3 times a day. Which has helped her tremendously! She has had to make many changes in her life from sleep habits and staying away from certain triggers that may induce a seizure.
So I decided to start The Purple Ribbon Review. I will still be hosting reviews and giveaways :). But will also be talking about epilepsy in hopes of getting parents together that might be going through the same problems or just need to vent!
The purple ribbon is Epilepsy Awareness!

Hey, do you think this might be related to the drywall? I have heard of other cases that have had seizures from it.
ReplyDeleteHi Paige
DeleteI have heard the same. We moved out of our drywall house when she was 3. Seizures started at the age of 7. What I have read it's when people still live in a bad drywall home. If you find any good articles please send them my way. They don't have a cause for her seizures. But I have wondered!
